Fantastic weather again, a short day but off to bad start. I realised I had booked the Copenhagen Hamburg train for the 20th not the 21st and decided to brave the station ticket office and the helpfulish man again, however there was a queue and he had forgotten how to speak English overnight and basically shouted in best German to go away. I gave up and left, mine fuehrer! Anyway a great cycle and came across an idilic German village, Friedruckstadt. Took many pics and spent an hour wandering round the square, where there is clearly a close historical link with Holland as a man and lady in Dutch costume, including clogs were giving guided tours (in German) around the village pointing out various historic buildings. On the way out I stopped by two German lady cyclists going to Husum too for directions. We consulted my phone app and their map and basically we went the wrong way for 100yds then saw a sign and turned around. I met them again in Husum as they arrived and said to the english speaking one "you got here then" but as I'd changed clothes and didn't have my helmet on bythen they didn't recognise me at first, and the lady I spoke to gave me a great explanation of how they got here, then the other one realised who I was, much laughter! Anyway in hotel on sea front now with house martins building a nest in my window it's my own mini springwatch! Pic of Husum haven today.
