A smooth crossing but we docked at 3.30 woken with all the shuddering as we lined up on the quay. Back to sleep for a bit but up at 5.30 whether you like it or not loud music and announcements in your cabin, but been through it a few times now so know the ropes. Washed etc and ready for 6.30 disembarkation which went very smoothly and waiting in the terminal building until after 9 to avoid being on the train as it gets busier and busier as we near London with commuters and then having to battle to get off at Chelmsford at peak getting on time for them so cup of very expensive instant coffee in a polystyrene cup, £2.45 says be who was paying £4 a cup in Denmark but it was much better than this ! Welcome home. Train from Harwich went OK however the lift still isn't fixed in the terminal but as from platform 2 the other lift is the one used, nice lady at information looked after my bike to let me pop down for a ticket and back up so bike didn't need to make a double escalator trip. Changed at Manningtree and it was the intercity and as it pulled in dreaded the conductor and "have you booked etc" as per Germany, but no problems, opened the guards van door helped me in and strapping in bike was easy compared to all these hooks and lifting up etc in Germany, just simple bars to lean bike against and a click strap and buckle. Easy peasy all round, off at Chelmsford in the lift out of the station and cycled home, all intact this year and now the washing is on etc.
