Lovely evening at the Tivoli Gardens watched two performances of mime on the Peacock stage with the traditional harlequin and pierro et al. Lovely to see it at dusk and lit up in the mid summer gloaming. A real traditional funfair with fine dining restaurants nice gift shops outdoor bars etc and sweet shops making their own pulled sugar sweets. A free concert was packed and Jessie J was the star and I now know it's a she not a he as I thought. Was out of hotel by 8 and cycled the couple of miles out to see the little mermaid was there about 5 minutes when the first bus load disgorged! Saw the royal palace and the guards parading past my bike propped against the wall! While I was waiting at the lights on my bike several elderly ladies stopped and one if them asked me something in what I recognised to be Spanish and in my best Spanish I said I do t speak Spanish can you speak in English which she did and they were lost and wanted to know how to get back to the centre I gave them my map won't need it again and we chatted about where I'd been in Spain turns out one of them came from near Antiquerra where I stayed a cour of times a few yeas back, much nodding and grinning. It started to rain again about 10 and poured but managed to see all the sights between showers so ready for home now Fingers crossed trains all ok tomorrow and I make Hamburg !
