After yesterday's headwinds today's direction for me changed to East as I headed across the Jutland peninsula from the west to east of Denmark. Still windy and grey and indeed cold at 11degrees but side-wind most of the way, crossed in 2 minutes under 5 hours to the city limits of Vejle. I can now say I have cycled across Denmark in a morning, just as I cycled right across America, (It's a village in Holland between Eindhoven and Düsseldorf) Largest town since Bremerhaven and seems nice place but food and clothes are very expensive. Quick look round and a lovely covered shopping ally, think they must be expecting rain! Forecast for Wednesday not looking good and it's the longest day left and 3 ferries too. Very helpful chap in the tourist office helped me get my longest ferry crossing on Wednesday sorted out, on the 06.45 for 75min crossing. Danish is not an obvious language to me I can do basic French Spanish and the odd German but the Scandinavian words are a mystery, the un-translated website was not easy at best. 8 days of the 11 cycling down now fingers crossed for tomorrow.
